We will be hosting two additional national training events in 2008 here in the North Texas District. If you have not participated in these events in the past, you are strongly encouraged to attend in 2008. Applications for these events may be found on the national Royal Rangers web site.

World Class Outpost Seminar. World Class Outpost seminar is designed to expose the outpost leadership team to a successful set of practices, methods, strategies, and tools that will enable them to develop into a “World Class Outpost.” The outpost leaders are encouraged to attend and complete this event together. This seminar will be held in the DFW area August 1-2, 2008.

National Training Camp. National Training Camp is designed to give leaders professional training in camping and leadership, plus the opportunity of outstanding fellowship and adventure in the outdoors. This camp will be held at Lakeview Camp September 25-28, 2008. Attendance at NTC is required before leaders can attend advanced camps, like NTT, NCE, ANTC, and National Academy.

Already held -- 20 leaders from North Texas attended. Ranger Kids Training Conference. This conference is designed to give leaders in Ranger Kids training in various techniques and methods of leadership that are specific to the Ranger Kids age group. Leaders will also receive training in various aspects of the Ranger Kids ministries. This conference will be held on two consecutive Saturdays -- March 29 and April 5. Leaders must attend both sessions.
